Whatcha Readin'?

I have BLOWN though books so far this year...

I started with the Hunger Games trilogy: Hunger Games, Catching Fire and the MockingJay by Suzanne Collins.
(I was late to see Hunger Games and wanted to read ahead before the next movie came out)

Then I went to the Z.L.Arkadie series: Parched, Quenched, Light Speed, The Fifth Sister, Ignite, The Seventh Sister - kind of a Vampire/Romance series.

Next came Caroline Hanson: Love is Fear, Love is Mortal, Love is Darkness - and yes, more Vampires.

Deadly Offerings (first of a trilogy)

Dancing with a Duke (part of a series)

Bah Humbug - holiday romance

The Inconvenient Duchess - historical romance

Lights Out -- prepper's lore

The One You Love

The Mating (Law of the Lycans) - interesting, pre-arranged marriages between werewolf tribes.

Bewitching the Werewolf - short and kind of like soft porn... not what I was thinking!

The Complete Sherlock Holmes - A classic!

Hostile Witness - good detective/law mystery, I have the next one "on my list"

Then I started the needlework mystery series of Monica Ferris: Crewel World, Framed in Lace and a Stitch In Time.... but reserved the next two at the Library. A FUN read with neat characters. My favorite so far!

Most of these were easy, fast reads that were simple to take on the kindle and have when waiting for Miss Sarah at Dance or Gymnastics, etc.

What are you reading right now?
I am looking to add some new ideas to my list!

    Thanks so much for this reading list! You really surprised me. I totally pegged you for getting into financial or self-help type stuff. This is cool. Have you ever read anything by TC Southwell? I love, love, love her books. All ebooks, no hard copies and the first one of every series is a freebie. I think that's right up your alley. Very hard to put down.

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
