Visit the UW Geology Museum
1215 W. Dayton St., 262-2399, http://www.geologymuseum.org/ (Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free.) —Besides its extensive mineral, rock and fossil collections behind glass, kids can touch rocks from a time when there were volcanoes in Wisconsin, see rocks and minerals that glow, and stand under huge mastodon tusks. Great for those like my daughter who want to be a Paleontologist!

Sunday (6/23)
Cover PhotoIf knit, purl, cast on and cast off are already comfortable components your routine, explore the next level of knitting with knitwear designer Alex Aulisi. She’ll cover various increases and decreases, how to create eyelets – and much more! We’ll supply the materials for this hands-on session – cotton yarn, knitting needles, a pattern and a list of helpful resources; you provide the vision for what you’d like to create. The Memorial Union Terrace
They always seem to have something fun going on there - music, Babcock ice cream, etc and there is no charge!
Last time we went there were FREE crafts, a GIANT inflatable Bucky, Balloon animals and an outdoor brat stand (not FREE).
Look for the big orange chair and turn it into a photo-op like we did with Miss Sarah and the peanut of Ashely from Coupons for Wisconsin already this summer!
:)

The Vilas Zoo!
We are lucky enough to have a FREE Zoo that is open year round...check it out
